Description
Gynera Tablet is a combined oral contraceptive pill (or birth control pill) that contains the hormones oestradiol and gestodene. These hormones work in several ways to prevent pregnancy. One of the primary mechanisms is to suppress ovulation, which means that it inhibits the release of an egg from the ovary. This is a crucial step in the fertilization process, as without an egg, there is nothing for sperm to fertilize. Gynera as combined contraceptive pills also thicken the cervical mucus. This thickening makes it more difficult for sperm to pass through the cervix and reach the uterus, further reducing the chances of fertilization. Additionally, these pills can alter the lining of the uterus (endometrium). This makes it less receptive to a fertilized egg (embryo), reducing the likelihood of successful implantation and pregnancy. In summary, combined contraceptive pills like Gynera offer a three-pronged approach to prevent pregnancy by inhibiting ovulation, thickening cervical mucus to impede sperm movement, and altering the uterine lining to discourage embryo implantation. When taken correctly, these pills are an effective method of contraception.
