The adult non-rebreather mask offers a sanitary way of helping a person in distress get oxygen when they can’t breathe on their own. By sealing the mask properly and squeezing the bag, a person can receive the oxygen they need while protecting you from communicable diseases, germs and more.

• Attach the oxygen supply tubing to the gas source and set the oxygen to the prescribed flow
• Check for the gas flow throughout the device
• Always verify proper function of the valves
• The valve between the mask and the reservoir should rise on inspiration and lower on exhalation
• Valves located on external mask surface should open during exhalation
• Place the mask on the patient’s face with the elastic strap until the mask is secure
• Mold the metal strip on the mask to fit the face
