Aescuven Forte Tablet is a purely plant-based medicament. Its effective ingredient is an extract from the seed of the horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum). Aescuven forte boosts the necessary tension or tone in the debilitated vein wall, making it more elastic. This ‘vein toning’ is an important precondition for the rectification of circulatory disorders of the venous system. Aescuven forte normalises the permeability of the vein wall, prevents the seepage of liquid into the surrounding tissue and so counteracts the development of an oedema. If an oedema is already present, it encourages the excretion of water and so helps to reduce the swelling.
